About Me:
I am working on my masters in Social Justice and am an Americorps Volunteer assigned to the Arizona's Children Association. I have 2 daugters, the oldest of whom is a student at the University of Texas majoring in Urban Studies and Sustainable Architecture. We currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats and are about to begin our own sustainable garden/permaculture adventure in our new house!

Thanks for joining the Valley Permaculture Alliance (VPA) website! VPA is a Phoenix-based 501c3 non-profit that offers classes, training, activities, tours, events and demonstrations on more about VPA on the ‘About Us’ page, and explore what this site has to offer. We hope that you will participate fully in the many groups, forums, and other resources on this site. Please take advantage of the wealth of knowledge readily shared by our members!
And thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the VPA when signing up! There are many volunteer opportunities to assist with classes, the seed library, in the office, and at events like the annual Tour de Coops and Mesquite Pancake Breakfast. We are hosting a Volunteer Orientation on Thursday, December 5th from 6:30pm-8:00pm, and we would love for you to be there. Please RSVP here. The location is to be announced. We also encourage you to join the Volunteer Group to stay alerted of all the volunteer opportunities we have available. You, the Volunteer, make it possible for the VPA to accomplish our mission of inspiring sustainable urban living in the desert southwest. And we look forward to getting to know you!
