About Me:
Martin (“Rocky”) Bakal began working in his family’s business at age 15. He has his B.A in Journalism Communications with a Concentration in Advertising (Graduated in 1987). His first professional career path was in Advertising, beginning in the early 80’s. He went back to school for his Masters in Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Texas in Arlington (Conferred in May of 1999). Acting as the Research Assistant to Dr. Paul Geisel (now Professor Emeritus-for the School of Urban/Public Affairs) he helped to establish the Southwest Metroplex Alliance, a first of its kind, cooperation between previously competitive Metropolitan cities within the Southwest region of Texas (Summer 1996).
He has participated, in several different support roles, within the Phoenix “green” community for about 10 years. His work has focused on sales management (with sustainable product) and has endeavored to live a minimally impacting lifestyle, while contributing towards repairing the world on an individual level. “Rocky’s” personal philosophy, goal and focus is to find different ways towards improving the world he lives in on a daily basis.
