    About Me:

I have been drawn to food and agriculture for as long as I can remember. Three years ago I read Michael Pollan's, The Omnivore's Dilemma, and my life was forever changed. This book inspired me to go further with my passion for food and to become educated about why our current food system is not sustainable. Since then I have completed coursework towards a Certificate of Sustainable Food Systems through Rio Salado College in Tempe, Arizona. I also have a Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I recently resigned from an 8 year career in mortgage servicing and banking to pursue my passion for sustainable food full time. After resigning from banking I volunteered and worked for an organic urban farm in Phoenix, Arizona where I learned some valuable aspects of organic, local production and distribution and formed some very good relationships with local farmers and people with the same passion for sustainable food.
