About Me:
I am a student at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. I am there for western herbalism, and specializing in urban farming. I have not yet started the farming classes but am eager to start learning and growing on my own. I work at an herb store and vegetarian cafe.
I love plants and animals. I love to be active and to be in nature. Hiking, running, and camping are a few of my favorite outdoor activities.
I grew up in the Northwest where it is wet and green. A huge difference from the dry desert we have here, which is why I am so eager to learn how to grow a sustainable crop here.

Hi Kimberley,
Welcome to the VPA! Please feel free to contact myself or our outreach coordinator, Lucy, (Lucy@vpaaz.org) regarding information about community gardens. How cool that you will be learning about urban farming. SWIHA is a great institution!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the VPA when signing-up to become an on-line member. We are hosting a Volunteer Orientation at the VPA Office on Thursday, January 24th at 6:30pm-8:00pm. Please RSVP here. I also encourage you to join the “Volunteer” Group to stay alerted of all the volunteer opportunities we have available. You, the Volunteer, make it possible for the VPA to accomplish our mission of inspiring sustainable urban living in the desert southwest.
Best Regards,
