About Me:
I'm the mother of seven and grandmother of nine. I work full-time as an instructional designer; I love designing clear learning. When I can use the principles of permaculture well, I'd like to teach others.
I have an acre and can eat breakfast almost any day of the year from my backyard - from pecans to blackberries to persimmons to grapefruit.
I read John Seymour and Wendell Berry as a young woman and have slowly worked to be as self-reliable as I can.
I have harvested more than 400 lbs of dates from my date tree in a year and last year learned to to harvest then ripen and store 300 lbs of pears from my Keiffer pear tree. I planted rattlesnake beans for the first time this year and watched them burst out of the earth and begin climbing.
I want to try a tree guild among other things.
