Welcome to Arizona. We're very excited that you are looking for volunteer opportunities to help spread the word about sustainable living.
We have lots of volunteers opportunities like:
-Class Assistant (attending a VPA class, helping the instructor and getting to attend the class for free).
-Event Information Booth (setting-up a VPA booth in public spaces, most of the times at a specific event, letting the public know what about the VPA does).
-Events (these are often once a year like the Mesquite Bean and Milling event or the Tour de Coops)
Additionally, we are now looking for volunteer interns who have a desire to deepen their level of involvement with the VPA who have specific skills (or the desire to learn those skills) and apply them to help benefit the mission of the VPA. Our specific internships are:
*Administrative Intern – Office, clerical work, data entry.
*Shade Tree Program Intern – Data entry, prepping for events, managing volunteers at events.
*Volunteer Coordinator Intern – Assist the volunteer coordinator and learn how to be one.
*Public Relations Intern – Set-up and organize volunteers for demonstration booths.
*Local Sustainability Intern – Work with local artists and promoting their work.
*Fundraising/Grant Writing Intern - Working on fundraising events and writing grants.
*Volunteer Development Intern - Working with Volunteer Coordinator to plan and implement the volunteer program.
*Committee Chair - Helping to develop and manage volunteers for specific events/tasks.
If any of the above opportunities sound interesting to you, Carli, please let me know and we can schedule a sit-down: kat@vpaaz.org.
Welcome to the VPA!
