About Me:
I am an enthusiastic gardener and very passionate about local foods and responsible, ethical methods for food production. I work in an environment that gives me opportunities to educate the public on these topics, interact with the farmers who produce food for our state and the people who manage nutrition programs, hunger prevention programs and farmers' markets across the state. I turned my back yard into a healthy, chemical free garden about 4 years ago. Since then, I have also started to convert the front yard to edible and native landscaping. I compost and use that for fertilizer, and share seeds and herbs with neighbors and coworkers.
