We finally got some measurable rain

Wow! We finally got some measurable rain at our house on Sunday and Monday, approx. 1.1 inches! It was exciting to see our mulch basins retaining the water and our 600 gallon cistern is full. I checked the moisture depth around our apricot trees in the mulch basin where the cistern overflow is located and I was able to sink the probe easily 3 feet, now that’s a deep soak.     Love your praying mantis..we brought home a nest about 10 years ago from bakers in Phoenix. And every year we see new little homes going up around our property. I was so bummed the other day, one jumped and ran under the truck and are duck ate it
