I am doing my AmeriCorps service through HandsOn Greater Phoenix and they are recruiting gardens to do a project with for their service say, a Day for Downtown. If you are located between the I-17 and the 51, from Bethany Home Road to South Mountain this is for you!!! Here are some more details:
Our upcoming 13th Annual A Day for Downtown event is happening on Saturday, November 17 from 8am-12pm. A Day for Downtown will mobilize more than 500 corporate and community citizens in a rewarding day of service to benefit the downtown Phoenix community.
HandsOn will provide your project with supplies as well as trained volunteer leaders. We already have some excited volunteer teams such as All State, SCF Arizona, APS, and Accenture ready to make in difference at your agency!
Attached is a Project Proposal form. Please fill out this form and return it to my by Friday, October 12th. Please feel free to give me a call and we can discuss your project opportunity and set up a site visit at your agency. If you have any questions or need any additional information about the Day for Downtown event please don’t hesitate to let me know.
