If any VPA members are interested in lending a hand at the ground-breaking day for our new Refugee Community Garden in Phoenix (on Dunlap and 39th Ave) on April 9th, 2011 please let me know! We'll be needing help with painting the surrounding wall, and could use some additional paint supplies if you can spare it.
There are also plenty of other opportunities to help out beginning refugee farmers in the Valley, at community gardens and with developing their own small farms. We can always use the expertise and support of the local permaculture community!
