Potluck Wed April 28th - Food, Fun and Food Inc. Playing!

Hi All, in an effort to revive discussion around the Book Club's future please join me in a potluck at my house at 6:30pm, Wednesday April 28th.  We'll be watching Food Inc when the sun goes down enough to see the screen on my back patio under the grape arbor.  Dress appropriately for an outdoor venue!

You will get to see my gardens and urban orchards, meet the chickens and each other! 

I live about 7 miles north of downtown Phoenix at 6735 N 11th St.  That is about a half block South of Glendale Ave with 7th St as my nearest major roadway.  If you're coming from the 51 freeway taking the Glendale/Lincoln exit, head west and take the first street south past the Paradise Bakery & Cafe on the corner of 12th St. 

Please RSVP by adding comments below to this discussion with how many you'll be bringing.  Hope to see some of you here. 

If you can't make it, let me know what your thoughts are about breaking into smaller more regional groups that meet at a locally convenient place to you, rather than trying to get everyone to downtown phoenix... It might be nice to do a few big get togethers each year, but keep the smaller regular meetings local.  I know some of you were coming from a LONG way and that doesn't make it very sustainable!  Just throwing that out as an idea, all thoughts are welcome!

Homemade bread sounds fantastic! It looks like there will be 6 of us so we'll just watch the film inside but eat outside and take a look around the place. I'll probably make a Spinach & Egg dish as a main course, Dessert is covered and so is salad. How about if you bring something to have on the bread, like herbed butter or an olive oil dip or something? See you tomorrow!
